| | Torstaina, 8. lokakuuta, 2026 - klo 23.00: | | Saku 2026 -tapahtumassamme syyskuussa Amiga Corporation esitteli uutta Amiga-logoaan, mutta vähemmälle huomiolle jäi uusi RTG-grafiikkajärjestelmä, josta yhtiö jakoi Saku 2026 -tapahtumavieraillemme ilmaista testiversiota Amiga Forever -emulaattorin kera. Tämän odotetaan olevan vasta alkua Amiga Corporationin siirtyessä AmigaOS-kehityksen ruoriin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tVuAuwlSeI At our Saku 2026 event in September, Amiga Corporation discussed its new Amiga logo, but the new RTG graphics system, for which the company distributed free test versions bundled with the Amiga Forever emulator to our attendees, received less attention. RenaissanceRTG offers a preview of Amiga Corporation’s standardization efforts and will be included in future AmigaOS updates, starting with Retro Games’ official THEA1200 retro remake later this year. If you attended Saku 2026 and picked up the download instructions and your free license from the user group’s table, you can get a head start: RenaissanceRTG can be found in the Devs/Monitors folder of the "Amiga 4000 Enhanced 3.X" configuration! RenaissanceRTG provides a native display interface that integrates directly with AmigaOS 3. It enables both classic and expanded Amiga systems to bypass the limitations of their legacy standard chipsets (OCS, ECS and AGA) and utilize high-resolution, high-color graphics modes without relying on third-party interfaces requiring separate licensing. The goal of RenaissanceRTG is to unify and modernize graphics handling within the AmigaOS 3 ecosystem, reduce reliance on third-party graphics drivers, and simultaneously improve performance. This is expected to be just the beginning as Amiga Corporation takes the helm of AmigaOS development.

quote:"But there is config tool as well, or how you can change the specs ?" What specs would this person like to change? We are considering a Tool Type that makes it possible to reference an external configuration. Right now, you can limit the set of screen modes via the MODELIST Tool Type. RTG supports up to 8K, but in order to do this you must right-click and Edit the title from Amiga Forever, and in the Configuration tab increase the RTG RAM. Minimum values: - 32 MB for 8K 8-bit - 64 MB for 8K 16-bit - 128 MB for 8K 32-bit This is for one screen. If you open the Workbench screen and one more screen, it needs more. BTW this code shipped, it is not just in beta. It is currently in some shipping containers. In Amiga Forever, I suggest to go to Help/About, enable the Early access option, and update to 11.3.2.0. That will make it easier to test screen modes that are larger than the host screen, as emulation window scaling smaller than 100% is now possible.
